I believe that many people are trying to use the Windows Server 2008 system based on the 'famous' of the system; after a period of trial we may I found that the Windows Server 2008 system is not as easy to use as it used to be. The main reason for this is that in addition to the many restrictions imposed by the Windows Server 2008 system to protect the system there is also that we inadvertently change when we frequently install and uninstall applications. Some setting parameters of the local system caused us to encounter various problems and troubles during the trial of the Windows Server 2008 system. In fact many usage problems and troubles are caused by errors in the running status of system services. As long as we move the settings of the Windows Server 2008 system services we can ensure that the Windows Server 2008 system can be used more smoothly!< P> 1. Solve the problem that the firewall cannot be set up
When a colleague wants to access the network printer connected to the Windows Server 2008 system he cannot find the target network printer. I try to ping the network printer from the client system On the Windows Server 2008 system host I found that the ping command cannot be executed successfully but when pinging the client system from the Windows Server 2008 system host the ping command can be executed successfully. Therefore the author estimates that the reason why my colleagues cannot find the network printer is probably Windows Server. The built-in firewall function in the 2008 system host restricts shared print access and ping commands. To this end I immediately clicked the 'Start'/'Settings'/'Control Panel' command in the Windows Server 2008 system and in the pop-up system control panel window double-click the 'Windows Firewall' icon to enter the basic firewall of the corresponding system In the parameter configuration interface click the 'Settings' button in it and when preparing to modify the relevant parameters the system unexpectedly displayed a prompt message that the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service did not start normally. According to this prompt the author clicked ' Start'/'Run' command enter the string command 'services.msc' in the system running dialog box that pops up and click Enter to enter the service list window of the corresponding system find the target system service and double-click it with the mouse When selecting this service it was found that the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service could not be enabled and run normally. In this case can we not set the parameters of the built-in firewall in the Windows Server 2008 system? The remote procedure call (RPC) service and the Network Connections service which are dependent on system services are not operating normally causing the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service to fail to start normally. However after careful inspection the above two dependent services are already in Normal startup status which means that they have nothing to do with the failure of the system firewall service to start.

Later I happened to see that the 'Server' service in the Windows Server 2008 system was closed and there was no such system service. The Windows Server 2008 system certainly cannot support network shared printing operations; therefore the author also opened the property setting window of the 'Server' service (as shown in Figure 1) and clicked the corresponding window 'General' tab page Click the 'Start' button to restart the 'Server' service and then set the startup type parameter of the system service to 'Automatic' and finally click the 'OK' button to save the above good settings and restart at the same time Take a look at the Windows Server 2008 system; after the system restarted successfully I tried to enter the basic firewall parameter configuration interface again. After clicking the settings button I found that the firewall parameters can now be modified. This indicates that the 'Server' service was unexpectedly closed. It happens to be the root cause of our inability to set up a firewall.Previous page 12 3 4 5 Next page Read full text?Investigation report shows that over half of the top 500 companies have been attacked by hackers
